Uzbekistan improves system of retraining teachers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on further improving system of retraining and improving skills of pedagogic cadres of higher educational establishments” on 26 September 2012.

The document was adopted in order to further improvement of the system on retraining and improving skills of pedagogic cadres of higher educational establishments.

According to the resolution, the Head scientific-methodical center on organization of retraining and improving skills of pedagogic cadres of higher educational establishments was created under the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan.

The Government also approved decision on creation of five regional and 10 sectoral centers on retraining and improving skills of pedagogic cadres of higher educational establishments.

According to the document, existing educational establishments and faculties on retraining and improving skills under the universities will be abolished.

Head scientific-methodical center, regional and sectorial centers will be legal entities and have their own charter, own balance, accounts at the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Head scientific-methodical center will develop general educational programmes, educational-methodical and normative materials on training and re-training of pedagogic cadres, study results of their work on teaching youth, etc.

The center will also analyze, monitor results and quality of educational process, rate development of skills of pedagogic cadres. It will also coordinate work of regional and sectorial centers, organize courses on training of pedagogic cadres of universities.

Regional centers will conduct trainings for pedagogic cadres, create modern methodical and information base in such areas as humanitarian science, mathematics, natural science, sociology, psychology, etc. They will also hold targeted courses on actual directions with use of modern technologies, including ICT and Internet.
