Uzbekistan imports over 550,000 mobile phones in first two months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first two months of 2025, Uzbekistan imported over 550,000 mobile phones worth US$60 million, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The main suppliers of mobile devices were China (404,185 units), Vietnam (129,589 units), India (14,269 units), the United Arab Emirates (4,428 units), and other countries (178 units).
As in previous years, China remains the largest supplier of mobile phones to Uzbekistan, while Vietnam and India also hold significant shares of the market.
The growth in mobile phone imports reflects strong demand for modern technology in the country, as well as the ongoing digitalization process and the expansion of mobile services.
