Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan held its first negotiations with Russia regarding its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Azizbek Urunov, Uzbekistan's chief negotiator, reported that on December 9, 2024, in Moscow, the first bilateral negotiations with Russia were held as part of the WTO accession process.
These talks were conducted after Russia submitted an official market access request in August this year.
It is worth noting that Uzbekistan plans to complete the WTO accession process by 2026.
So far, the country has completed negotiations with the United States, China, and several other nations.
