Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan lost 6 positions and took the 87th place in the rating of the countries of the world on the level of E-Government development, according to United Nations E-Government Survey.
The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) publishes the report each two years. The report assess state of development of the e-government in the government of the world.
According to report, Uzbekistan moved by 6 positions down compared to 2018 report and was on the 87th place among 193 countries.
E-Government Development Index (EGDI) of Uzbekistan made up 0.665. EGDI is formed based on sub-indexes: online service index (Uzbekistan’s index - 0.6884), telecommunication infrastructure index (0.2463) and human capital index (0.6954).
E-Participation Index (EPART) of Uzbekistan was 0.6665 in 2020 against 0.602 in 2018.
The index formed based on three sub-indexes: online service index, IT infrastructure index and human capital index. Uzbekistan’s indexes for these sub-indexes made up 0.7824, 0.7434 и 0.4736 respectively.
The report said that Uzbekistan improved online service indexes despite moderate development of IT infrastructure.
At the same time, Uzbekistan improved its position in E-Participation (EPART) index by 13 points. Uzbekistan now holds 46th place in the index with the score of 0.8095.
