Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, a conference of the Uzbekistan Field Hockey Federation took place at the Olympic Glory Museum, which was attended by representatives of the National Olympic Committee, the leadership and staff of the Field Hockey Federation, regional branches, athletes, judges, coaches, media.

Speaking, the chairman of the Uzbekistan Field Hockey Federation, Bakhodir Akhmedov, summed up the results of the past year, outlined the goals and objectives for 2019. It was also noted that for the national team of Uzbekistan it is planned to build a base in Tashkent, the bases will be built in Surkhandarya and Syrdarya. In addition, at the end of the month it is expected to open a sports base in Bukhara.

“This year, our main goal is to win a license for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. And I hope that together we can accomplish this task. Today, the National Olympic Committee is conducting a large-scale work in organizing training camps for athletes, creating the necessary conditions, for which I would like to express special gratitude to the NOC,” said Bahodir Ahmedov.

Advisor to the President of the National Olympic Committee Nazirjon Khudoikulov noted that today the NOC has developed a strategy for preparing our national teams for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020 and told in more detail what is indicated in this strategy.

Then a solemn ceremony of awarding the best athletes of 2018, winners in various categories, coaches, judges, and worthy employees of regional branches took place.
