Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) plans to open three new flights to such destinations as Tbilisi, Munich and Karachi in 2019, the airline’s press service said.

In the past three months alone, the national airline has opened three new flights to Mumbai, Vladivostok and Jeddah.

In addition, the number of flights on existing routes was significantly increased. For example, the number of flights on one of the most popular Tashkent-Moscow routes increased to 27 per week, and in total with flights to the capital of Russia from Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Termez, Namangan and Fergana it reached 49.

The frequency of flights from Tashkent to Seoul, Dushanbe, Bishkek, Minsk, Rostov-on-Don, Astana and Novosibirsk has also been increased. In one of the most popular destinations - to Istanbul - ten flights from the capital and two from Samarkand are performed a week.

In total, last year, the airline completed more than 21,000 flights, and reached the historic three millionth level in passenger transportation.
