The company said that a year ago, on 16 July 2010, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari received its first Airbus А320 plane.

The company started to use Airbus А320 plane from 19 July 2010, when the aircraft conducted its first regular passenger flight.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari said that its experience showed that the aircraft is optimal for execution of flights up to 5,000 km.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari and Airbus signed contracts on purchase of 10 medium-range A320 aircrafts. The airline said that it will receive two more airplanes by the end of 2011.

The Airbus А320 aircrafts are used to carry out flights in internal destinations and to neighboring countries. The airplanes carry out flights to Almaty, Amritsar, Astana, Baku, Bishkek, Kiev, Lahor, Tel-Aviv, as well as Russian cities.

A320 aircrafts have been configured in a spacious two class cabin layout seating 150 passengers, 12 in business and 138 in economy. The eco-efficient A320 will benefit from the latest aircraft design and technological improvements contributing to lower fuel burn and emissions.

Airbus A320 airplane consumes twice as less fuel than Tu-154 of the same passenger capacity (2.2 tonne/hour versus 5.5 tonne/hour). This aircraft weighs less and this factor is very important for the aircraft operators. Its avionics is wonderful, and triple backup of all the systems makes this aircraft reliable and safe.
