Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan does not plan to denominate the national currency. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan Mamarizo Nurmuratov.

He noted that denomination is not just deleting zeros. This process requires high economic costs.

The Chairman of the Central Bank added that now no one thinks about denomination.

Nurmuratov said that denomination is carried out with economic stability. “We are in the wrong situation,” he said.
