Uzbekistan has great potential in the field of green energy - Vice President of CNEEC

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Li Zhigan, Vice President of the Chinese company CNEEC, gave an interview about the potential of green energy in Uzbekistan, the work carried out in this direction, their prospects and the participation of the Chinese company in this direction.

“The reforms of the President of Uzbekistan in this area are being implemented very correctly and in a timely manner. It is important to save energy and protect the environment. We believe that the potential of Uzbekistan in the field of green energy is huge.

We are a contracting company with extensive experience in the development, implementation and management of energy projects. I would like to name three important reasons why Chinese investors are investing in Uzbekistan.

The most important aspect is that China’s Belt and Road Initiative is highly compatible with Uzbekistan’s new energy development strategy. Secondly, Uzbekistan has excellent conditions for renewable energy sources such as solar energy and wind energy, which is very favorable for the development of renewable energy projects. Thirdly, CNEEC (China National Electrical Company) has rich experience and performance in the field of renewable energy, and we are ready to invest in green energy in Uzbekistan together with our partners.

Jizzakh was chosen by us as a voluntary territory for investment in a wind energy project. First, we will consider the scale of the Jizzakh wind power project.

In the future, we plan to implement projects to build a solar station and energy storage system to provide clean energy solutions.

We will attract more professional and technical personnel to Uzbekistan to study the new energy market and development potential of Uzbekistan and develop a roadmap for the development of renewable energy projects. This will further strengthen cooperation between China and Uzbekistan and create the basis for building a green, environmentally friendly, stable and reliable energy system in Uzbekistan,” Li Zhigan said.
