Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 September 2022, the Uzbekistan GTL plant of Uzbekneftegaz was selected as a nominee among the world’s leading companies in the nomination “For outstanding achievements in the field of hydrocarbon processing and the chemical industry” by the jury of S&P Global (USA) of the 2022 Platts Global Energy Awards, recognized as the Oscar of the global energy industry.

In addition to the Uzbekistan GTL plant, leading world companies such as China Gas Holdings (China), Clariter (Luxembourg), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (India), Indian Oil Corporation (India), Kiewit (USA), United Energy Trading (USA) and Valero Energy Corporation (USA) were contenders for victory in this nomination. It is worth noting that all these companies have a turnover of several billion dollars and are members of the world’s leading stock exchange.

On 8 December 2022, the S&P Global Awards Ceremony was held in New York, USA. Uzbekistan GTL plant was announced as the winner of this prestigious world award for 2022 in the nomination "For outstanding achievements in the field of hydrocarbon processing and chemical industry".

S&P Global Platts, founded in 1909, is the largest in the United States and the most influential news agency in the world that publishes prices and quotes for oil, oil products, gas, petrochemicals and industrial metals sold in the world.
