Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first ever CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management System program in the history of oil and gas and power industry of Uzbekistan has been implemented at the Uzbek GTL plant.

The CMMS system has achieved the full automation of the database of about 11,000 equipment and main production units in the Uzbekistan GTL plant, maintenance planning and preventive maintenance works, preparation of repair requests, inventory control, requests for procurement of components and materials, and digitalization of maintenance activities. 

CMMS has been developed for Uzbekistan GTL on the basis of specific business processes by Maintenance Experts Pty Ltd, a leading company in the field of maintenance management systems in Australia, and adapted internally in accordance with national and international regulations. Its ease of use and efficiency has also resulted in it being used with great success at facilities around the world.

The main purpose of this software implementation is to ensure long-term trouble-free operation of production processes by carrying out regular preventive maintenance checks in the running of production plants and facilities and minimise the human factor in the maintenance planning process.

The system automatically records spare parts, consumables and equipment that need to be replaced or used according to the maintenance schedule, as well as warehouse balances, procurement requirements and other records. The system will ensure that equipment repair costs are reduced, work is organised on a planned basis and performed with high efficiency.

The plant and equipment database is stored on Uzbek GTL’s cyber security compliant servers.
