Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the eve of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Federal Republic of Germany, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held a number of bilateral meetings with investors, representatives of large companies and banks in Berlin.

In particular, during negotiations via videoconference with Commerzbank Managing Director Christian Toben, projects were discussed to increase cooperation between one of the largest financial institutions in Europe and Uzbekistan, as well as to allocate new credit lines to support the textile industry in our country and the production of building materials.

In a dialogue with Knauf International CEO Uwe Knotzer, the prospects for expanding the company's presence in the Uzbek market, including through the privatization of building materials production facilities, were considered.

With the managing director of Bohlen Industrie, Ekbert von Bohlen Und Halbach, the possibilities of organizing new capacities for the production of chemical industry products in Uzbekistan were discussed.

During negotiations with the owner of Lasselsberger Group, Josef Lasselsberger, the issue of implementing new projects in the building materials industry in Uzbekistan, in particular, organizing a plant for the production of large-format porcelain tiles, was agreed.

The meetings were of an informal nature, which made it possible to most fruitfully discuss new projects, topical issues and prospects for building up cooperation in a number of areas.
