Uzbekistan, Georgia discuss trade-economic relations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The sixth session of intergovernmental Georgian-Uzbek economic commission was held in Tbilisi, capital city of Georgia, on 3 April 2012.

The Ministry of economy and sustainable development of Georgia said that Deputy minister of economy and sustainable development Mikhail Janelidze headed the Georgian delegation, while Deputy minister for foreign economic relations, investment and trade Akmal Kamalov – the Uzbek side.

During the session, the sides considered main directions of economic cooperation between Georgia and Uzbekistan, including in such sectors as trade-economic, transport, tourism, energy, agriculture, small and medium business, and investments.

After the talks, the sides signed a protocol on development of economic relations between two states.

The Ministry of economy and sustainable development of Georgia noted that the seventh session of the intergovernmental Georgian-Uzbek economic commission will be held in Uzbekistan in near future.
