Uzbekistan, France consider new prospective directions for mutually beneficial partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 3-4 June, a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, visited Paris, France.

During the visit, the 10th meeting of the Uzbek-French Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held. Additionally, a joint business forum took place with the participation of over 80 representatives from the business communities of both countries.

The parties identified new prospective directions for mutually beneficial partnership in areas such as the production of building materials, mineral extraction, aircraft manufacturing, automotive industry, green energy, water supply, and the expansion of transport infrastructure.

The visit also included meetings with advisors to the President of France on Continental Europe and Türkiye, Bertrand Bouchwalter, export and trade policy advisor Victoire Vandeville, French Minister-Delegate Franck Riester, as well as leaders of major French companies such as Saint-Gobain, Eramet, Schneider Electric, Renault, Voltalia, Eiffage, Airbus, Orano, and others.

A strong commitment was expressed to further increase the volume of trade, economic, industrial, and investment cooperation, as well as to involve new major French companies in the implementation of joint projects with Uzbek partners.
