Uzbekistan forbids sales of fast food near schools
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan introduced ban for sales of fast food at schools and catering objects near secondary general education establishments, local newspaper Uzbekistan Ovozi (Voice of Uzbekistan) said.

The publication said that the ban was introduced in 2011 in line with the decision of the Senior State Sanitary Doctor of Uzbekistan.

Senior specialist of the Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan on food hygiene Anatoliy Hudayberganov said that fast foods have many calories, fat and salt, which damage health of people.

He said that fast food producer use margarines, which can cause metabolic diseases and damages immune system of the people, as well as liver and vessels.

The paper wrote that abuse of fast food by children at the school age can negatively impact to children development, damage nervous system, weakens immune system, ruins eyesight, cause diabetes and endocrine diseases.
