Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed Law "On making additions to Article 483 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

So, from 1 January 2023 to 1 January 2026, Uzbekistan Football Association, its territorial divisions, the public association "Professional Football League of Uzbekistan", the Center for Football Referees of Uzbekistan and professional football clubs are exempt from paying:

all types of taxes (except social tax);

Personal income tax paid from the income of foreign specialists and football players attracted by them;

VAT on imported into the country according to the lists formed in the prescribed manner, sports equipment and inventory, equipment, inventory and machinery necessary for broadcasting, pharmacological products, sports nutrition, artificial turf for football (futsal) fields, special adhesives and special professional sports equipment, vehicles, including special ones, analogues of which are not produced in the republic.

It is assumed that this measure will serve to establish a system for recruiting, selecting young talented players and preparing them as professional athletes, as well as developing the activities of football clubs.

Amendments to the Tax Code were introduced at the end of last year and some of them concerned the abolition of a number of tax benefits.
