Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to December 2024, Uzbekistan extracted approximately 44.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is a 4.5% decrease compared to 2023, according to the Statistics Agency.
Furthermore, oil production in the country decreased by 8.5%, totaling 713.4 thousand tons.
However, gas condensate production in 2024 increased by 1.4%, reaching 1.21 million tons compared to the same period in 2023.
Uzbekistan’s enterprises also boosted coal extraction by 26.2%, reaching 8.17 million tons.
The Statistics Agency emphasized that the volume of coalbed methane gas extraction in 2024 amounted to 107.4 million cubic meters, which is 38.76% higher than in 2023.
