Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-August 2022, Uzbekistan exported 119,800 tons of melons and watermelons abroad for a total amount of US$33.2 million.

The State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that this year, the export of melons and watermelons increased by 50,100 tons (by 71.8%) compared to the corresponding period in 2021.

Countries to which Uzbekistan exported the most melons and watermelons in January-August of this year:

Kazakhstan – 53,600 tons

Russia – 26,900 tons

Kyrgyz Republic – 19,900 tons

Tajikistan – 12,200 tons

Latvia – 2,400 tons

Belarus – 2,300 tons

Other countries – 2,400 tons
