Uzbekistan exports 18,800 tons of mung beans in the first three months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first three months of 2025, Uzbekistan continued to actively expand its export activities, delivering 18,800 tons of mung beans abroad, valued at US$15.7 million. These figures were published by the country’s National Statistics Committee.
The main export destinations for mung beans included neighboring countries as well as more distant markets. The largest share of exports went to China, which purchased 16,000 tons of this valuable agricultural product.
Kazakhstan imported 913 tons, while the Netherlands received 572 tons. Countries in Central Asia were also among the active buyers, including Afghanistan (252 tons) and Russia (204 tons).
Uzbekistan also exported 183 tons of mung beans to the United Kingdom, confirming growing interest in Uzbek agricultural products on the European market.
