Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to September 2024, Uzbekistan exported gold worth US$5.79 billion, according to the State Statistics Agency.
Gold exports during this period increased by 2.8% compared to the same period in 2023.
The share of gold in the export structure accounted for 29.3%, slightly lower than last year’s figure of 31.8%.
It is noteworthy that the total external trade turnover of Uzbekistan for the specified period reached US$48.2 billion, increasing by US$3.5 billion, or 7.7%, compared to January-September 2023.
Of this volume, exports totaled US$19.77 billion, which is 11.5% more than in the same period last year. Imports grew by 5.2%, reaching US$28.43 billion. As a result, the balance of foreign trade was negative, amounting to US$8.66 billion.
