Uzbekistan establishes partnership with Chinese company in agricultural digitalization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kahramon Yuldashev, held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese company Shanghai Oriental Credits Industrial Development Co., Ltd. (SINOMACH).

The discussions focused on leveraging advanced Chinese technologies, introducing innovative approaches to land management, and enhancing the efficiency of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector through digitalization.

At the outset of the meeting, both parties highlighted the dynamic development of Uzbek-Chinese relations, particularly in cotton farming and the application of innovative technologies.

SINOMACH representatives showcased their Agri Cloud platform, designed to digitalize agriculture, and expressed their readiness to implement it in Uzbekistan. During the presentation, the platform's capabilities were introduced, emphasizing its role in integrating internal and external resources, promoting digital transformation, and creating a reliable database to support agriculture and industry.

Additionally, the company discussed its Industry Cloud project, which facilitates industrial production and meets the sector's demand for modern solutions. A particular focus of the talks was on the use of artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to study China’s experience in agricultural digitalization, establish a joint working group, develop specific proposals, and conduct a pilot implementation of the Agri Cloud platform in Uzbekistan.
