Uzbekistan Establishes Metallurgy Association
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 June, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a roundtable chaired by Minister Laziz Kudratov, dedicated to the establishment of the "Uzbekistan Metallurgy Association."
The event brought together representatives from around twenty leading metallurgical enterprises across the country, as well as officials from relevant ministries and government agencies.
During the meeting, the goals and objectives of the newly created Association were outlined in detail. Special attention was given to the development of production capacities for processing ferrous metals during the 2025–2030 period, strengthening cooperative ties among industry participants, improving the raw material supply system, and implementing measures to attract investment and expand the export potential of the metallurgical sector.
It was emphasized that the Association's activities are intended to foster closer collaboration among enterprises and enhance their competitiveness both domestically and internationally.
The Association is expected to become an effective mechanism for supporting initiatives within the industry and contribute significantly to the continued development of the country’s industrial potential.
