Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 28 May 2019 No “On introduction of changes and additions to some acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” a new procedure has been established for issuing of electronic entry visas.

In particular, from 28 May, electronic entry visas are issued for a period of stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan up to 30 days from the date of entry and will be valid for 90 days from the date of its issuance.

According to the order in force until now, the e-visa was issued to a foreign citizen for a period of stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan up to 30 days with a single entry and in the case of a visa validity at the time of entry of a foreign citizen to the territory of the republic was less than 30 days, then the stay of a foreign citizen in Uzbekistan should not have exceeded the validity period of the electronic visa.

These changes were made in order to create the most favorable conditions for tourists, increase the average duration of stay of tourists in the country, as well as the experience of positively tested in foreign countries.
