Uzbekistan Embassy in Israel Issues Guidelines for Safe Departure from the Country

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Amid escalating security concerns, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has issued detailed recommendations for Uzbek citizens who are planning to leave the country independently.

Citizens are advised to exit through designated border crossing points that are operating around the clock:

— The Menachem Begin / Taba crossing on the border with Egypt (between Eilat and Taba);
— The Sheikh Hussein crossing on the Israeli-Jordanian border (between Beit She'an and Irbid);
— The Yitjak Rabin / Wadi Arava crossing (between Eilat and Aqaba).

Via Egypt: Citizens may take advantage of the simplified visa regime known as the "Sinai Stamp," which allows a stay of up to 14 days but only within the Sinai Peninsula. Travel beyond Sinai, including to Cairo, is not permitted. Individuals under the age of 21 may enter only if accompanied by a parent.

From the Taba crossing, a transfer service is available to Sharm El-Sheikh (approximately 270 km). From there, travelers have the following flight options:

— Uzbekistan Airways: Three weekly flights to Tashkent (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday), departing at 12:35 local time;
— Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines: 1–2 daily flights to Istanbul, with onward connections to Tashkent.

Via Jordan: Exit is possible through the Sheikh Hussein or Yitjak Rabin / Wadi Arava crossings. Since there are currently no direct flights from Amman to Tashkent, transit options include:

— Amman – Istanbul – Tashkent
— Amman – Dubai – Tashkent

To enter Jordan, travelers must obtain a visa in advance via the official website of the Ministry of Interior of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In case of emergency, citizens are urged to contact Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions at the following hotlines:

Embassy in Egypt: +202 333-617-23; +20 128 666-1441, eg.uzembassy@mfa.uz
Embassy in Saudi Arabia (also accredited to Jordan): +966 11 263-5223; +966 56 721-7731, uzbembriyadh@gmail.com

Finally, the Embassy strongly urges all citizens leaving Israel to take personal safety precautions and strictly follow the instructions of the Israeli Home Front Command.
