Uzbekistan Doubles Pineapple Imports

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan imported 4.6 thousand tons of pineapples worth US$1.6 million from seven foreign countries over the first seven months of 2025, according to the National Committee of Statistics.

Compared to the same period in 2024, import volumes rose by 2.2 thousand tons. The bulk of supplies came from China, accounting for 4.5 thousand tons.

Other countries contributed significantly smaller volumes: Kazakhstan — 92 tons, the Netherlands — 16 tons, Mexico — 5 tons, and other countries — 3 tons.
