Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the National Social Protection Agency of Uzbekistan, with the participation of Deputy Director of the Agency, Sirojiddin Abdullaev, Program Manager of the European Commission's External Action Service, Lea Triers, and Head of the Child Protection Unit at UNICEF, Antonia Lüedecke.

The meeting focused on the interim results and future plans of a project aimed at supporting repatriated citizens, particularly women and children.

Special attention was given to issues such as social adaptation, children's rights protection, and the provision of medical, psychological, and legal assistance. The creation of sustainable support mechanisms for families at the neighborhood (mahalla) level was also discussed.

The project was highly praised as a successful initiative contributing to the development of an inclusive and sustainable social protection system in the country.

The agency expressed its readiness to continue cooperation and expand the practices that have proven effective.
