Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to July 2024, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $4.19 billion, according to the Uzbekistan Statistics Agency.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of gold exports decreased by 25.6%.
Notably, the export volume for the first half of the year amounted to US$4.19 billion, indicating that no gold was exported in July 2024.
Gold accounted for 28.4% of the country’s total exports, down from 37.7% last year.
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover for January-July 2024 reached US$36.8 billion, an increase of US$1.9 billion or 5.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
