Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 21 to 23 October, a delegation from Uzbekistan is participating in the prestigious Miami World Travel Expo (WTE Miami) in the United States. The aim of this participation is not only to showcase the country’s rich tourism potential but also to attract investments and expand international cooperation in the tourism sector.
At the expo, the delegation is presenting a variety of tourist routes and introducing visitors to Uzbekistan’s cultural landmarks and unique traditions.
Additionally, meetings with foreign partners have taken place to discuss prospects for developing tourism infrastructure and sharing experiences with leading global players in the tourism industry.
Participating in the large-scale WTE Miami exhibition offers Uzbekistan an opportunity to position itself as an attractive destination for travel and investment.
During the event, delegation representatives are actively engaging in roundtable discussions and seminars focused on modern trends in tourism, which helps strengthen Uzbekistan’s presence on the international stage.
Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, participated in a panel session discussing the role of tourism in the economic development of the country. He shared information about reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, new types of tourism and their development, as well as the evolving tourism infrastructure in remote areas.
The expo also features products from tour operators, catering representatives, hotels, and artisans from the Tashkent, Samarkand, and Khorezm regions.
WTE Miami is a major event that brings together over 3,000 participants, more than 40 speakers, representatives from over 60 countries, over 400 booths, and more than 120 media representatives. Uzbekistan’s participation in this exhibition is an important step in developing the country’s tourism industry and promoting it on the global stage.
