Uzbekistan delegation participates in the World Government Summit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The World Government Summit is taking place in Dubai, UAE, from 11 to 13 February, which is attended by a delegation from Uzbekistan.

The forum unites government leaders, international organizations, and private sector representatives, along with public officials and industry experts, to discuss the future of public administration and governance. Key topics include the role of artificial intelligence in economic and social development, as well as innovative solutions to pressing challenges in governance.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, participated in the session titled "Is the World Ready for the Next Wave of Digital Disruption?" During the session, discussions focused on how different governments are leveraging technology to drive innovation, enhance public services, and build resilient societies.

The panel addressed successful case studies, partnership strategies, and solutions to emerging challenges, while also emphasizing the role of digital technologies in transforming governance and fostering sustainable development.

The World Government Summit has been held annually since 2013 under the patronage of the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Additionally, Minister Shermatov took part in the Tech-Gov Alliance: Building Smarter Futures session, which was organized as part of the summit. This session examined the evolution of collaboration between governments and the tech sector, highlighting successful applications of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cloud technologies in improving public services.

Participants discussed the role of these technologies in enhancing efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement. Other key topics included integrating technology into public administration, developing smart and effective government services, and the future of digital governance.
