On 1 July 2010, the Government of Uzbekistan founded on leading professional colleges of Uzbekistan bunch-forming professional colleges with its branches in various districts as experiment from 2010/2011 academic year.

The bunch-forming professional colleges are created to ensure required level of organization and teaching main topics, introduction of ICT technologies, exchange of work experience and effective employment of their graduates.

In line with the regulation, bunch-forming professional colleges are created in capital of Karakalpakstan, administrative centers of regions and large cities of Uzbekistan on the base of leading professional colleges.

Branches of bunch-forming professional colleges are selected from professional colleges, which have similar profile to bunch-forming colleges, located far from administrative centers and large cities.

The regulation said the main tasks of bunch-forming professional colleges (along with main activity) are:

• Carry out educational-methodical management and coordination of activity of branches, directed at improving education process, introduction of modern educational and information technologies, distance education, etc;
• Help branches to develop and implement curriculum and methodical manuals, interactive methods in line with the state educational standards;
• Attract leading teachers and masters of bunch-forming professional colleges, organize exchange of experience in training of specialists;
• Organize master classes and practical lessons for students of branches at the bunch-forming professional colleges.
