Uzbekistan Concludes Bilateral WTO Accession Talks with Switzerland
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has successfully concluded bilateral negotiations with the Government of Switzerland as part of its accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The announcement was made by Azizbek Urunov, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan on WTO Affairs.
"Today, on 21 July 2025, we signed a Protocol in Geneva marking the conclusion of bilateral market access negotiations with Switzerland within the framework of Uzbekistan's WTO accession process — adding another WTO member to the list of countries with whom talks have been finalized," Urunov stated.
He also noted that only a few WTO members remain with whom negotiations are still ongoing.
To date, Uzbekistan has completed accession talks with 25 countries.
