Uzbekistan commissions 7.4m square meters of habitation in nine months of 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan commissioned 7.4 million square meters of habitations in nine months of 2011 in the result of adopted additional measures on developing habitation construction, the publication of the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Within the programme on developing habitation construction for 2011 in rural areas of Uzbekistan, the country built 5,966 individual houses on standard projects for 875,100 square meters.

In order to strengthen material-technical base of habitation construction, the country commissioned 226 new capacities on production of construction materials with use of local resources and components in nine months of 2011.

To develop production and improve quality of wall materials, Uzbekistan launched 40 break production plants with the capacity of 125.5 million units and modernized 28 objects on production of burnt breaks.

The country also launched 2,194.2 km of water networks, including in rural areas – 1,934 km.
