Uzbekistan, CNPC discuss plans to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing held an online meeting with President of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of PetroChina Li Fanrong, Dunyo news agency reported.

Bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas industry occupies a special place in trade, economic and investment relations between Uzbekistan and China.

CNPC is a key partner of Uzbek companies both in the implementation of investment projects in the field of geological exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons, and in the trade of natural gas.

During the meeting, the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed. Plans have been outlined to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in this area.

CNPC Corporation is the largest oil and gas manufacturer and supplier in China. According to the authoritative publication Fortune Global 500, CNPC is the fourth largest corporation in the world in terms of annual revenue.

The corporation brings together the business portfolios of both an oil company and an oilfield services provider, with operations spanning the entire oil and gas value chain. CNPC carries out active investment activities in the oil and gas sector in 35 countries, provides technical services for oil and gas facilities in 66 countries of the world.
