Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat association is currently making a working visit to a number of industrialized provinces of China. 

Negotiations are underway on the further development of trade and economic relations between the two countries in the leather, footwear and fur industries, the expansion of investment cooperation, and the implementation of promising projects under export-import contracts.

In particular, the Association’s delegation visited the Wenzhou province of China and met with the leadership and members of the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which unites footwear equipment manufacturers. The topic of discussion was the issue of modernizing Uzbek enterprises and attracting Chinese brands to our country.

The Chinese side was given a presentation on the reforms implemented in the leather and footwear industry in our country in recent years, production, investment and export potential. Information was also presented on the conditions and opportunities created for foreign investors, tax and customs benefits and preferences.

At the meeting, the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Footwear Equipment reported that large Chinese shoe brands are showing growing interest in Uzbekistan, some of them are ready to transfer part of their production to our country.

As a result of the dialogue, an agreement was reached on organizing business tours and holding international forums between leather and footwear enterprises of the two countries.

In March 2023, a delegation of large Chinese companies visited Uzbekistan and held negotiations to establish cooperation with Uzbek enterprises.
