The protocol was signed at the end of the meeting between Meng Jianzhu, Member of State Council and China Public Security Minister, and Bakhodir Matlyubov, Uzbekistan Interior Minister.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing cooperation in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism, drug trafficking and trans-boundary crime, strengthening regional security and stability.
