Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Inter-ministerial consultations between Uzbekistan and China were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, with the Chinese delegation led by Zhang Haizhou, the national coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation within the SCO, as well as issues related to China’s chairmanship of the Organization.
Special attention was given to the practical implementation of initiatives proposed by the leaders of both countries at the SCO Summit in Astana in July 2024. The discussion also covered the development of documents whose implementation is expected to provide a new impetus to cooperation in the areas of politics, security, economy, and humanitarian ties within the Organization.
Additionally, Zhang Haizhou, the national coordinator for the SCO from China, was received by Bobur Usmanov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
