Uzbekistan calls off match against Kuwait

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team called off a friendly match against Kuwait, which should be held at Jabber Stadium on 9 February 2011.

Uzbekistan coach Vadim Abramov called off the match to help local clubs to prepare to new season. He said that local clubs such as Bunyodkor, Pakhtakor, Shortan and Nasaf asked coach not to call their players to this match.

As earlier reported, Uzbekistan played against Kuwait in the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011 and defeated them with the score 2-1.

After refusal of Uzbekistan, Kuwait arranged match against Japan. After that Kuwait plans to play against Jordan (25 March) and Palestine (29 March).
