During the consultations, the sides will discuss issues of boosting political dialogue at various levels, expanding trade-economic relations, developing legal framework of bilateral relations.
The sides will consider perspectives of supply of Belarusian agriculture, automobile and road construction equipment to Uzbekistan, implementation of projects in production cooperation. It is planned to discuss issues of resuming work of joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation.
Representatives of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Belarus will consider interaction between two states within international organizations, including within the CIS as it is expected that Belarus will chair the organization.
The sides are planning to exchange opinion on events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus made up US$108 million, which fell by 29.6% compared to 2010. Exports of Belarus to Uzbekistan made up US$63.8 million (-32.9%) and imports – 44.2 million (-24.2%). Trade balance was positive for Belarus – US$19.6 million.
In January-September 2012, trade turnover made up US$96.8 million, or grew by 16.2% year-on-year. At the same time, exports of Belarus to Uzbekistan rose by 59.4% to US$75.4 million, while imports decreased by 40.6% to US$21.4 million. Trade balance was positive for Belarus – US$54 million.
