Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States Rakhmatulla Nazarov met with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Ivanets, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.

During the meeting, the Belarusian side highly appreciated the results of the official visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan, which took place on 7-9 February, and emphasized the agreements reached following its results in the areas of preschool and school education.

The need to intensify work to fulfill the assigned tasks in this area was noted and readiness was expressed to discuss the progress in implementing the points of the Road Map and the Cooperation Program in the educational sector.

It was noted that the priority areas of cooperation are the opening of branches of Belarusian universities in Uzbekistan, the implementation of “pilot projects” in the field of vocational education in the regions of our country, the organization of internships and exchanges of workers, managers and methodologists in the field of preschool education.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on a detailed study of the issues discussed between the competent authorities of the two countries.
