Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 October, a meeting was held between Andreychik Oleg, the Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, who was taking part in the UNWTO General Assembly in Samarqand, and Umid Shadiev, the Chairman of Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Belarusian guest gave a high appraisal to works done in development of tourism in our country in a short period of time. Moreover, Andreychik paid particular attention to the role of transport logistics in increasing the number of tourists and stressed necessity to address the issue of opening direct flights between Samarqand and Minsk and holding advertising and promotional activities to fill these flights.

An agreement was reached with Belarus to establish strong arrangements between Uzbek and Belarusian tourist companies, to carry out systematic promotional activities and joint development of tourist products in order to increase tourist flow.
