Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has officially become a full-fledge member of the Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP). This announcement was made during the 28th meeting of GHWP, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The meeting features the participation of Alisher Temirov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Product Safety Center of Uzbekistan, who delivered a report on "Ensuring Quality Control of Medical Devices and Medical Equipment in Uzbekistan."
In his speech, Temirov emphasized the measures being taken in Uzbekistan to ensure the safety of medical products and equipment and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in this field.
It is important to note that Uzbekistan’s request to join GHWP was unanimously approved by the event organizers, leading to the country’s membership in this international organization.
GHWP is a global structure focused on regulating pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Its goal is to harmonize global standards for the safety and quality of medications and medical devices and ensure their adherence.
Currently, GHWP includes regulatory bodies from over 30 countries, including Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, China, and other states. Uzbekistan’s membership in GHWP will open new opportunities for meeting international standards, exchanging experiences, and jointly addressing issues related to the regulation of pharmaceutical and medical products.
