Uzbekistan bans import of vehicles of Euro-2 class and below

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 January 2010, Uzbekistan bans import vehicles of Euro-2 ecologic class and below, the State Committee on Nature Protection of Uzbekistan said.

The decision adopted in line with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov from 14 December 2006.

Uzbekistan allows to import new vehicles of M2, M3 and N2 ecologic categories, equipment of petroleum and diesel equipment not below Euro-3 from 1 January 2010.

However, the committee said legal entities and individuals can import special purpose vehicles, indicated at INCOTERMS under codes 8703 and 8705.
