Uzbekistan Approves Regulations on Installation of Street Name and Building Number Signs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By Resolution No. 475 of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 30 July 2025, new regulations have been approved governing the installation of signs displaying street names and building numbers.
The document sets out requirements for the design, size, production, and placement of such signs.
Three types of signs are provided for. The first category — illuminated signs — are made of polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate glycol, polystyrene, or polycarbonate, and are generally installed on main city roads.
The second category includes signs made of composite aluminum material with a reflective coating, intended for district-level main roads.
The third category comprises signs made of composite aluminum without reflective coating, to be installed on local streets.
The regulation explicitly states that abbreviations of street names are not permitted when producing these signs.
