Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan has appointed renowned Japanese actor and host Keisuke Minami as the Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Japan, Dunyo News Agency reported.
Keisuke Minami, born in Tokyo in 1985, is a graduate of the prestigious Waseda University in Japan. He has played leading roles in several Japanese films and TV series and is one of the main hosts of the popular travel show "Asada! Namadesu Tabi Sarada." Minami also holds a master’s degree in World Heritage Studies and serves as an instructor at the World Heritage Academy.
The Japanese actor has previously visited Uzbekistan and was captivated by the historical monuments of the country’s ancient cities, its national cuisine, the hospitality of its people, and the facilities created for tourists.
Following his visit, Minami prepared a five-part program dedicated to Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, which attracted significant interest from Japanese TV viewers.
As Uzbekistan’s Tourism Ambassador in Japan, Keisuke Minami will promote the tourism potential and brand of Uzbekistan among the Japanese public, facilitate tourism projects, and prepare programs and relevant articles for the media.
