Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Sweden Nodir Ganiev, who previously represented our country as Charge d’Affaires, took up his duties in Stockholm, Dunyo news agency reports.
He is 52 years old. He graduated from Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) with a degree in philology and oriental studies. Since 1994, he has been working in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding various positions in the central apparatus and diplomatic missions of the country abroad.
Before his appointment to Sweden, he held the position of head of the Foreign Ministry’s Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions.
The diplomatic mission in Stockholm was opened in 2022 and became the 36th Embassy of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.
