Uzbekistan applies to host 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan submitted application to the FIFA to host 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, the Uzbekistan Football Federation said. The federation said it submitted all necessary documents and special presentation to FIFA.

Uzbekistan will compete to host the event with such countries as the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, the federation added.

The UFF specialists are now inspecting various cities of Uzbekistan to study situation and working on necessary issues.

If Uzbekistan wins the right to host the event, the matches will be held in Tashkent, Qarshi, Guzar, Mubarek, Samarkand, Bukhara and Andijan.
