Uzbekistan announced a tender for the construction of five hydroelectric power stations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekhydroenergo JSC announced a tender for the construction of five hydroelectric power stations (HPPs) in Uzbekistan with a total capacity of 46.6 MW.

Tenders have been announced for the construction of "Dukentsoy HPP" (estimated capacity of 5 MW), "Cascade of Kamchik HPP (Kamchik 2-3)" (estimated total capacity of 19.1 MW), "Kizildarya and Suvlisayskaya HPP" (estimated total capacity of 13.67 MW ), “Kuyi Koksuvskaya HPP” (estimated capacity of 8.9 MW) in the form of 4 separate lots.

The hydroelectric power stations will be built on the basis of public-private partnership (PPP).

Applications will be accepted until 1 April 2024, and potential participants can request additional information until 29 February.

It should be noted that Uzbekhydroenergo announced a tender in August 2023 for the construction of these hydroelectric power plants as a single lot. The total cost of the project was then estimated at US$106.9 million.
