Sports 15/06/2007 Uzbekistan announce AFC Asian Cup team

Uzbekistan named 23-player squad for AFC Asian Cup, which will in Southern-Eastern Asia in early July.

Rauf Inileev, head coach of Uzbekistan, attracted seven legionnaires, playing in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Slovakia. It is expected that Maxim Shatskikh will feature for Uzbekistan at the Asian Cup.

Pakhtakor Tashkent delegated eight players to the international team, while three players will represent Neftchi.

Inileev’s squad:

Goalkeepers

Pavel Bugalo (Quruvchi Tashkent), Ignatiy Nesterov (Pakhtakor Tashkent) and Gayrat Khasanov (Neftchi Ferghana)

Defenders

Khayrulla Karimov, Botir Qorayev (both from Mashal), Asror Aliqulov, Islom Inomov and Anzur Ismoilov (all from Pakhtakor),  Aleksey Nikolayev (Aktobe, Kazakhstan), Vitaliy Denisov (Dnepr, Ukraine)

Mid-fielders

Aziz Ibragimov (Slovan, Slovak Republic), Aziz Haydarov (Locomotive Tashkent), Server Djeparov, Timur Kapadze and  Eldor Magdeyev (all three from Pakhtakor), Mansur Saidov and Iqbol Akramov (Neftchi), Marat Bikmaeev (Rubin, Russia) and Hikmat Hoshimov (Nasaf Karshi).

Forwards

Pavel Solomin (Saturn, Russia), Ulugbek Baqoev (Tobol, Kazakhstan), Alexander Geynrikh (Pakhtakor) and Maxim Shatskikh (Dinamo Kiev, Ukraine).

Uzbek head coach also announced reserves players, including defenders -- Kamoliddin Tojiyev, Ilhom Suyunov, Anvar G’ofurov, mid-fielders -- Viktor Karpenko, Odil Ahmedov, Khamza Karimov and Jasur Xasanov.
