Uzbekistan and Turkiye plan to increase cooperation in the field of geology

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 December this year, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Research and Exploration of Minerals (MTA) of Turkiye Nail Yildirim and project manager Mustafa Tokoglu.

The Directorate of Research and Exploration of Minerals (MTA) of Turkiye was founded in 1935 as a geological research organization. The head office is located in Ankara. The main activity of the organization is the provision of services for geological exploration. MTA has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2018.

During the meeting, representatives of the MTA highly appreciated the conditions created in Uzbekistan for the comfortable activities of foreign investors and expressed their readiness to take an active part in the implementation of new joint projects.

The prospects for building up investment cooperation were discussed, bearing in mind the implementation of new projects in the field of mineral exploration. The presence of opportunities for enhancing joint work, exchanging experience and technologies, and improving the skills of specialists from both countries was noted.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the format and measures for the development of further partnership within the framework of the implementation of the discussed areas of cooperation.
