Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 30 July, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a Turkish delegation to discuss cooperation and future projects in the agricultural sector.

During the discussions, special attention was given to the prospects of agricultural insurance in Uzbekistan, legislative changes, and the exchange of experience between the two countries.

It was noted that interest in agricultural insurance continues to grow, especially in the context of changing climate conditions, highlighting its importance.

Furthermore, the participants discussed opportunities to enhance technical capabilities in agriculture, improve infrastructure, and involve agricultural producers in insurance processes. Both sides agreed to intensify consultations for further refinement of legislation in this area.

An important aspect of the negotiations was establishing cooperation in the training of agricultural specialists, including both basic education at universities and the retraining of existing professionals. Opinions and suggestions were considered regarding more efficient use of budgetary funds allocated for agricultural development.

Additional discussions covered financing and government support for areas such as horticulture, viticulture, vegetable growing, and animal husbandry. The participants also exchanged views on subsidies aimed at supporting agriculture.

At the end of the meeting, the parties received answers to all their questions and reached an agreement on further strengthening mutual cooperation.
